For the third consecutive year, North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) has been ranked as one of the best hospitals in Greater Boston and Massachusetts by U.S. News & World Report, joining an esteemed array of medical centers in receiving this honor, including Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
NSMC was also designated as a high-performing hospital in Geriatrics (and in a previous year, Pulmonology,) based on clinical quality data such as patient survival, safety and volume. Learn more
Carrie Siefken, R.N.C., M.S.N., an NSMC Birthplace Clinical Nurse Educator, has been named a 2014 March of Dimes Nurse of the Year. Siefken was one of 13 Massachusetts nurses selected for the award, which recognizes exceptional nurses. Learn more
Sue Nevins, a neonatal nurse in the NSMC Special Care Nursery, was a finalist for the award, as well.
North Shore Medical Center (NSMC’s) new state-of-the-art central utility plant has received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
