Seated Tai Chi is a combination of traditional and contemporary Tai Chi forms based on the popular Yang style and Sun style of Tai Chi. This form of adaptive Tai Chi is good for people with Parkinsons, MS, impaired vision, compromised balance and anyone wanting to exercise from a seated position. The format consists of gentle warm-ups, concentrated breathing, detailed teaching of the Tai Chi forms and a cool-down. With ongoing practice you can increase your range of motion, strength, balance and flexibility; reduce pain and joint stiffness, mental health and an overall sense of well being, making this program a well-balanced program to achieve the mind body connection.
Mondays, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., 8 weeks, held in the South B Conference Room at Union Hospital.
