An informative three hour workshop teaching the impact of stress on the body and how yoga can improve your health and well being. You will learn how to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and also learn the five stages of deep relaxation techniques. This yoga workshop will use safe and appropriate yoga modifications, using a slower paced yoga practice, visualization techniques, breath work and meditation.
This class is taught by Marilyn Whalen, RN, MS, a certified Rehabilitation Nurse for more than 20 years. Marilyn is also certified in Cardiac Yoga at the Kripalu Center and brings a conviction that Yoga practice is both a powerful rehabilitative tool and an opportunity to practice preventive medicine.
