Eleanor Broadhead Clinical Excellence award

The Broadhead Award for Nursing Clinical Excellence recognizes registered nurses who exemplify the professional nurse and the organizational values of Salem Hospital through their clinical practice. They demonstrate pride in their profession, consistently strive for excellence and behave in a manner that reflects honesty and integrity and maintains the dignity, confidentiality and respect of all patients.

Blodgett award winners

Donald W. Blodgett Exemplary Service award

The Donald W. Blodgett Exemplary Service Award recognizes registered nurses and patient care associates from Salem Hospital medical/surgical units who care for patients with multiple clinical and human needs, providing holistic and compassionate care. Recipients exemplify a dedication to their profession, a spirit of generosity, true compassion and empathy for patients and a sense of humor.

Nursing Leadership award

The Nursing Leadership Award recognizes nursing leaders who exemplify the professional nurse and the organizational values of Salem Hospital through their managerial and leadership skills. They display professionalism, are effective communicators and relationship builders, possess inspirational traits, have a trustworthy character and promote teamwork.

Preceptor of the Year award

The Preceptor Award was created in 2019 as a way for our new graduate nurses to recognize a Salem Hospital nurse preceptor who positively impacted their experience during orientation and assisted in their transition from student to professional nurse.
