Advanced reproduction evaluation and treatment is provided by the Mass General/North Shore Obstetrics and Gynecology practice at the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care in Danvers. This collaborative practice includes experts from Massachusetts General Hospital and North Shore Medical Center.
Maternal-Fetal Medicine services for women who have medical or pregnancy complications and/or who are considered to be high risk pregnancies is provided by the Mass General/North Shore Obstetrics and Gynecology practice at the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care in Danvers. Services include First Look, a screening tool used in the first trimester to identify babies who may be at risk for chromosomal abnormalities.
The Birthplace is a full service maternity center at NSMC Salem Hospital, delivering nearly 1,300 babies a year. The Birthplace is affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital. Our family-focused program includes prenatal care, educational programs and other services to ensure that families are well prepared for the new baby. A Level IIB Special Care Nursery is on site to provide more specialized care for those babies that need a little extra help.
Comprehensive breast health care is provided through the Mass General/North Shore Breast Health Center, which includes diagnostic imaging and procedures, surgery and complete cancer care. Screening mammography is provided at multiple NSMC locations.

The North Shore Medical Center Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) program is at the forefront of providing minimally invasive gynecologic surgical procedures done through tiny incisions and resulting in less pain, and faster recovery. The MIGS program at NSMC is designated as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG).
