North Shore Medical Center's (NSMC) website has won Gold at the W³ Awards under the general web category for Health Care Services. NSMC unveiled its new website design and content in November 2011. “The new website provides a more patient-friendly experience and better meets the information needs of our patients and visitors,” explains Laura Fleming, Director of Marketing and Public Relations. The W³ Awards honor creative excellence on the web and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning websites. The W³ Award winners are selected by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. Website entries are judged on different factors such as creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design, and ease of use.

The W³ is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms.
