Substance Abuse Treatment
The Department of Psychiatry at North Shore Medical Center collaborates with the Lynn Community Health Center and Salem Family Health Center to address the primary medical needs of people with chronic addictions. The Women's Resource Program in Lynn provides psycho-educational and supportive counseling program for women with addictive disease. Additional resources for North Shore families are the Center for Addictive Behavior in Salem and the Learn to Cope peer-run parent support group, which is specifically for families with a loved one battling a heroin or oxycontin addiction.
