Radiology physicians at North Shore Medical Center offer comprehensive imaging services for adults and children. All our radiologists are board-certified and have a broad range of advanced training, and provide expert image interpretation. They perform more than 240,000 imaging procedures annually. Breast Imaging services include:

  • Digital mammography with computer assisted detection (CAD)

CT Scanning services include:

  • Multi-slice CT scanning with computer assisted detection (CAD) at NSMC Salem, NSMC Union, Salem Emergency Department and Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care
  • CT angiography with 3D reconstructions• Musculoskeletal orthopedic CT with 3D reconstructions MRI services include:
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Digital mammography
  • Computer-assisted mammography
  • Advanced CT scanning
  • CT angiography
  • High resolution Sono CT Ultrasound with color-flow Doppler
  • Digital diagnostic radiology
  • State-of-the-art vascular and interventional radiology
  • Nuclear medicine sections providing the most current examinations
Nuclear Medicine services include:

  • Computer assisted functional imaging
  • SPECT- CT (Single Photo Emission Computed Tomography) fused with localizing CT at NSMC Salem and NSMC Union
  • Radionuclide therapy including: radioactive iodine therapy for thyroid, Zevalin therapy and Samarium-153 therapy
  • Molecular imaging/PET CT (Positron Emission Tomography)
Pediatric radiology services are available through MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center.
