Meditation, Relaxation & Mindfulness

Experience, enjoy and learn effective and research proven approaches for stress management. These practices have been known to reduce anxiety, regulate blood pressure and increase mental clarity and focus. Whether you are a new or experienced student, this class provides the opportunity to learn simple techniques, ask questions and experience meditation with a group.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy stimulates circulation, relaxes muscles and reduces tension. It helps increase flexibility and range of motion as well as providing a sense of deep relaxation and greater vitality. Massage may help lower stress hormones and aid in more restful sleep.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture can help prevent pain by acting on the sympathetic nervous system and by stimulating the body to produce biochemical substances that help to reduce pain. When the entire body system is in balance, optimal health occurs. Acupuncture relieves obstructions to the flow of life force energy (Qi), and restores general balance. Acupuncture treatments are individualized based on the patient’s unique characteristics.

Reiki

Reiki can help to provide relaxation, relieve pain and muscle tension, decrease stress, expand one’s energy, enhance the immune system, create a profound sense of inner peace and well-being, and bring about significant positive change for the person receiving it. Reiki produces a deeply soothing and restorative experience.

The LEARN Program for Weight Control

The LEARN Program has been used for over 15 years as a safe and effective method for weight loss. The program was developed at Yale University by professionals in the areas of nutrition, exercise physiology and psychology, and is designed to help participants achieve permanent results. The program addresses five key areas that are essential to successful weight loss: lifestyle, exercise, attitudes, relationships and nutrition.

Gentle Yoga

Yoga is a noncompetitive discipline that emphasizes how the body can find its own natural expression. The essence of yoga is to stretch without risk, to perform dynamic stretching sequences which enhance flexibility and strength, to tone muscles and joints, to improve functioning of the major organs of the body and reduce stress.
