Who will you be
walking for?
Walk with us on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the 18th annual NSMC Cancer WALK. Over the past seventeen years the WALK has contributed more than $13 million to the NSMC Cancer Center, ensuring the availability of the most sophisticated oncology services here on the North Shore of Boston. This year, the WALK spokesperson is Jennifer Flanagan of Marblehead, pictured below (see page 3 of pdf).
The 10K (6.2 mile) route travels through historic Salem and is truly a community event. The typical walker raises $100 or more, joining family members, colleagues, and survivors for an inspirational day. Walkers are joined by many survivors who remind us of the important work of the NSMC Cancer Center. Please consider participating in the 2008 NSMC Cancer WALK, either by walking or sponsoring another walker. We also welcome Corporate Sponsorship....click here to learn about Corporate Sponsorship opportunities.
Your participation is vital to our fundraising efforts. Funds raised in 2008 will directly benefit the expansion and relocation of the NSMC Cancer Center to the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care in Danvers, slated to open in 2009. The state-of-the-art facility will ensure continued access to comprehensive and coordinated medical, surgical and radiation oncology care in a compassionate, community-based environment right here - close to home.
