Books
- Book carts stocked with paperbacks are available to patients. If you are interested in obtaining a book, ask a member of your patient care team to bring you the cart.
Cell phones and cameras
- To maintain a quiet, healing environment and to protect our patients' privacy, cell phones and other wireless communication devices should be kept to public areas. The use of cameras or camera phones is prohibited, but maybe used in the Birthplace after delivery.
Meals
- NSMC's restaurant-style food service is called Catering To You. Patients order meals from a catering associate, who then personally assembles the tray in our kitchen and delivers it to the room. We offer wholesome, nutritious and well-balanced meals that adhere to your special diet (as given by your physician).
Smoking
- For the health of our patients and employees, there is NO SMOKING or tobacco usage allowed in any NSMC building or on its grounds.
Telephone
- You may make local calls from your room phone free of charge. Dial 9 + 1 + area code + number. All out-of-state or out of local area calls must be placed through the hospital operator. You will be responsible for the cost of long distance calls.
