Salem, Mass.  – North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) has added Charlene Scarpa, R.N., B.S.N., as the patient care director of surgical services.

Scarpa has more than 15 years of clinical and management experience in multiple specialties. Prior to her most recent position as nurse manager for Emergency Services at Cambridge Health Alliance, Scarpa was the patient care director of endoscopy at NSMC Salem Hospital. She has also held clinical and management positions at Massachusetts General Hospital, Salem Visiting Nurse Association, Salem Hospital and Whidden Hospital Home Care/Hospice.

Scarpa is a graduate of Atlantic Union College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is currently enrolled at Salem State College for her Master’s Degree.
