Whole Foods in Swampscott, Mass. to Host Cancer WALK Kick-Off Event
Who: Whole Foods in Swampscott, Mass. and the North Shore Medical Center.
What: The Swampscott, Mass. Whole Foods Market will host a NSMC Cancer WALK Kick-Off event in which registered walkers can pick up fundraising kits at the event and enjoy a complimentary food tasting. In addition, on the day of the Kick-Off, the Swampscott, Mass. Whole Food Market will donate five percent of store sales to the NSMC Cancer WALK.
When: Wednesday, April 9th, 2008, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Kick-Off event and food tasting for registered walkers.
Wednesday, April 9th, 2008, 8:00 am – 10:00 pm: Five percent of store sales will be donated to the NSMC Cancer WALK (Swampscott store only).

About the 18th Annual North Shore Medical Center Center (NSMC) Cancer WALK
The NSMC Cancer WALK has raised over $13 million in the fight again cancer. Each walker typically raises $100 or more—money that will directly benefit the expansion and relocation of the NSMC Cancer Center to the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care, slated to opening Danvers in 2009.
