Salem, Mass. – A “Serving the Underserved Award” has been presented to 13 North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) physicians who care for a significant percentage of the North Shore’s uninsured patients with very complicated medical conditions. The awards were presented by Partners HealthCare Systems not only to physicians at NSMC, but also Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and several community health centers.

An awards ceremony and dinner was held to recognize the important contribution these physicians are making to patients. Those being honored were also able share ideas about how to best care for low-income high-risk patients.
