Salem, Mass. – North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) has appointed Tom Palladino to the role of administrative director for NSMC Emergency Services.
As the administrative director, Palladino will work with both emergency services leadership and nursing leadership to ensure that the strategic and operational objectives of the emergency rooms at both NSMC Salem Hospital and NSMC Union Hospital are met. While supporting efforts to improve operational efficiency and customer service, he will also provide physician practice financial oversight and develop strategies that will enhance NSMC’s relationship with local ambulance providers.
Palladino comes to NSMC from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston where he was the administrative director of Emergency Services. Over his career, Palladino has held administrative and practice management roles in a variety of clinical services including gastroenterology, dermatology, and plastic surgery. In addition, he is trained as a respiratory therapist and began his clinical career at the former AtlanticCare Medical Center in Lynn.
Palladino received his Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts and his Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University. He now lives in Saugus with his wife and family.
