The multidisciplinary Thoracic Clinic at the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center provides state-of-the-art care to our lung and esophageal cancer patients, as well as patients with other thoracic cancers.
It is also available to patients seeking a second opinion about their care. This comprehensive approach offers you the opportunity to be seen and examined by a medical oncologist and radiation oncologist all in the same afternoon.
The clinic meets every other Wednesday afternoon in the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center in Danvers.
The pathologist, radiologist, surgeon, medical oncologist and radiation oncologist on the team review your case after the examinations are concluded. Radiology films and pathology slides are reviewed together. You will receive an opinion from each clinician, as well as a consensus recommendation by the panel. Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center will also help you to coordinate care, as needed. Surgical referrals will be made for you if necessary.
