Our Cardiac Catheterization & Interventional Laboratory is the only facility on the North Shore abler to provide primary angioplasty--a life-saving procedure that is the fastest method of opening blocked arteries in patients suffering from a heart attack.

We provide primary angioplasty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Our spectrum of angioplasty procedures includes:

--Right & left heart catheterization
--Coronary angiography
--Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (balloon angioplasty/stent)
--Intravascular Ultrasound
--Primary angioplasty
--Pericardiocentesis

Following angioplasty, most patients enter the NSMC Cardiac Rehabilitation program, a multi-tiered approach to rehabilitating the heart and overall improving a patient's fitness.
