Our Pediatric Radiology department makes the experience of getting an X-ray, ultrasound, or other radiologic exam as comfortable as possible for children. Our staff treat pediatric patients exclusively.
Located on the ground floor of the Mass General for Children at North Shore Medical Center, our department features a private play area and waiting room. An appointment is not necessary for regular X-rays or scoliosis studies. Appointments for fluoroscopy exams and ultrasound are available in the mornings and can be scheduled through your pediatrician’s office. CT scans and MRI exams are also available at all NSMC facilities.
The exams we conduct on-site include:
- General X-rays—all types
- Fluoroscopic exams including
- Upper GI tract
- Barium enema
- Voiding cystography
- Feeding/swallowing evaluations
- Ultrasound
