Our Pediatric Radiology department makes the experience of getting an X-ray, ultrasound, or other radiologic exam as comfortable as possible for children. Located on the ground floor of the NSMC North Shore Children's Hospital, the department features a private play area and waiting room. Our staff treat pediatric patients exclusively.
An appointment is not necessary for regular X-rays or scoliosis studies. Appointments for fluoroscopy exams and ultrasound are available in the mornings and can be scheduled through your pediatrician’s office. CT scans and MRI exams are also available at all NSMC facilities.
The exams we conduct on-site include:
- General X-rays—all types
- Fluoroscopic exams including
- Upper GI tract
- Barium enema
- Voiding cystography
- Feeding/swallowing evaluations
- Ultrasound
