The NSMC Outpatient Psychiatry and Mental Health department offers a wide variety of services for children, adolescents, adults, seniors, couples and families.

Child and adolescent services are offered at both NSMC North Shore Children's Hospital, as well as at Boston Street Clinic in Lynn (get directions).  These services include comprehensive assessment, psychotherapy, behavioral therapies, family therapy for depression, anxiety, self-injurious behaviors, eating disorders, substance abuse, behavioral issues, pre-school/parenting issues and medication management. Psychotherapy and medication management are initiated based upon each child/adolescent's specific need for symptom management.

Adult and Senior services are offered at both the Lafayette Street Clinic in Salem (get directions) and the Boston Street Clinic in Lynn (get directions). Both sites provide comprehensive assessment and focused treatment interventions for adolescents, adults, couples and families. Therapies include individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, family therapy and group psychotherapy and medication management.

Our dedicated group of professional psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice nurses, social workers, and licensed mental health counselors work together with patients and their families to build a therapeutic alliance and focused treatment plan to address a wide variety of behavioral health issues. Our goal is to help individuals and their families resolve issues that interfere with their ability to attain the highest level of satisfaction from their lives, and to work on skills for enhanced satisfaction.
