NSMC Surgical Weight Loss Program

The NSMC Surgical Weight Loss Program is one of the most successful programs north of Boston and includes gastric banding and gastric bypass options, among other approaches.

Vascular Program

The NSMC Vascular Program  treats a full range of vascular disease and includes angioplasty (elective and emergency), endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid artery stenting, thrombolytic therapy and vascular surgery.  

Minimally invasive

NSMC currently offers a wide array of minimally invasive surgical procedures involving most major specialty areas. Over 2,000 minimally invasive procedures were performed at NSMC Salem and NSMC Union hospitals last year alone. These minimally invasive procedures are generally less traumatic to the patient, involving smaller incisions, less pain, and shorter hospital stays.
