Annual mammograms are currently offered at three NSMC locations -- NSMC Salem Hospital, NSMC Union Hospital and the NSMC Women's Center in Danvers.

Advanced diagnostic testing and treatment is offered at our newest Breast Health Center now open at the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care.

The Breast Health Center at NSMC Salem Hospital is a beautifully designed space offering the following enhanced services: reports of normal test results within one week, call back within 48 hours if additional follow-up is needed, a Breast Health "Navigator" who guides patients with positive results through the next steps, and an appointment with a surgeon within 48 hours if necessary.

Test results from repeat mammograms are also provided immediately. If further testing is warranted, diagnostic services such as stereotactic and ultrasound-guided needle biopsy are available.

Free screening services to low income women

NSMC provides free screening services to low income women in partnership with the Lynn Community Health Center and the North Shore Community Health, Inc. centers in Salem and Peabody.
