To assist in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, our technologists perform X-rays scans to calculate the density of your bones. Scans take place at our Bone Density Testing Center at the NSMC Women's Center in Danvers, and at the Rosemary Costin Center for Women's Wellness at NSMC Union Hospital in Lynn. Bone scans are also given for patients of Charter Medical Group at OB/GYN Associates of the North Shore in Swampscott and the North Shore Medical Group in Lynn.

This important, pain-free test can help determine if you are at risk for bone breakage due to bone loss - also known as osteoporosis. Your bone density test results will be reviewed and interpreted by one of the specialty physicians.
