The Mass General Fertility Center is a collaborative practice between Massachusetts General Hospital and North Shore Medical Center. In early July 2009 the practice will open its doors at the new Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care.

Initial fertility work up and diagnosis, ovulation induction, pregnancy testing, ultrasound, blood monitoring and physician follow up will be provided at the Mass General Fertility Center. Egg retrieval and embryo transfer will be performed at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

NSMC's dedicated community of OB-GYN physicians also provide initial reproductive medicine services.

The NSMC Sperm Bank is the only program on the North Shore to offer non-donor sperm banking to assist with fertility treatments for male patients who have planned chemotherapy threatments, travel frequently or have a history of reduced semen quality.

Many of our patients choose to deliver their babies at The Birthplace, on the NSMC Salem Hospital campus. Patients who are considered to have high-risk pregnancies may deliver at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
