The Family Resource Center serves children, adolescents, families and professionals. We provide a range of resources through our Behavioral Health Library. Marguerite Roberts, MS, NP, organizes and runs conferences, workshops and family support programs, and is on hand to assist you with your research needs.  Our Behavioral Health Library is open M-F. Our hours are 10 – 12 for groups or by appointment, and from 12 - 4  for walk-in appointments. Our fax is 978.354.3777.

ADHD Parent Support Groups
– parents support and guide one another through the challenges of parenting children with behavioral, social and educational issues. Meets weekly and morning and evening groups are available. Contact the Family Resource Center for more information.   Summer Sessions Available view flier

Bipolar Disorder Parent Support Group - A support group for parents of children with bipolar disorder. An opportunity to share strategies and support. First Wed. of every month, 12 noon to 1 p.m.   view flier

Community Education Programs – programs are available throughout the year in the area of children’s medical, developmental, behavioral and mental health. The topics and format change based on community requests. Programs are available for parents, educators and professionals.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Group – a free support group for grandparents raising grandchildren. The group meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month from 11– 12 p.m. in the Family Resource Center. Contact Elaine Rossen 978.741.1215 x2623 or contact the Family Resource Center.   view flier

Health Education Consultations
– assistance provided to families in accessing information related to their child’s special needs. Literature, books, videos and computer links are easily attained in the Resource Center with the guidance of a Clinical Specialist.

Learn to Cope North Shore  - a parent to parent peer support group for families living with the drug addiction of a loved one. Weekly group meets every Thursday 7-9pm in the Lynch Conference Room of  MassGeneral  for Children at North Shore Medical Center. No registration or fee. Parents Helping Parents --This support group meets weekly and follows a successful statewide model. Free, confidential and anonymous. Call 1.800.882.1250 to get a referral.
