Cardiac surgery is now performed at Mass General, while all other aspects of a patient’s heart care are provided here at North Shore Medical Center. Interventional cardiology services through the NSMC Heart Center include cardiac ablation, cardiac catheterization, heart examinations (EKG, nuclear cardiology, Holter monitoring, stress testing and cardiac ultrasound), cardiac rehabilitation, electrophysiology and arrhythmias, our top-rated Living Well with Heart Failure program, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) and stents, and vascular surgery and testing.

- Angioplasty. This procedure is the fastest way to open blocked arteries in patients experiencing a heart attack.
