Building A Healthier North Shore

NSMC Salem Entrance and Parking

Our main entrance (Davenport 4) has reopened on the NSMC Salem Campus. We have also renovated and re-opened 150 parking spots located on the upper level parking area near the main entrance. To access this entrance and parking, patients and visitors should enter the Salem Campus using the lower entrance on Highland Avenue and follow signs to the upper parking area.

The improvements we undertook during the past six months included leveling the drop-off area, making it easier for patients to be dropped off and picked up. We have also added trees, new landscaping and additional signage. When we complete this project in January 2020 we will add an additional 75 parking spaces. We have valet parking in front of the main entrance and NSMC greeters to help patients and visitors.

Endoscopy

If you are coming in for endoscopy services, including colonoscopy, you should enter the campus via the lower entrance on Highland Avenue and park in the upper level parking. Proceed into the main entrance (Davenport 4) and head left to the elevators. Go one floor up to the fifth floor and head right down the hall. You will see a sign for Endoscopy on the right. This is Wheelock 5. (Wheelock 5 will be accessible from the new parking lot when we complete all work to the front, sometime in January)

Preadmission Testing, Radiology, Mammography

For these services above, enter the campus via the lower entrance on Highland Avenue. Park in the upper level parking area and proceed to the main entrance. The SurgiCenter is in front and that is where you go for preadmission testing. If you are coming for radiology or for the Breast Health Center, you will instead proceed through the passageway into the main entrance. Head right once inside the building. Radiology comes up first on the left. The Breast Health Center is a little further down the hall on the left.

Cardiology Testing and Wound Center

If you are coming in for cardiac testing or the wound center, you should enter the campus via the lower entrance on Highland Avenue. Park in the upper level parking area and proceed to the main entrance. Once inside the building head left to the elevators. Go one floor up to the fifth floor and head right down the hall. Cardiology testing is about two-thirds of the way down the hall. The Wound Center is further down the hall.

Blood/Lab testing, EKG, Pediatric Behavioral Health

If you are coming in for any of the services above, you should enter the campus via the lower entrance on Highland Avenue and park in the lower lot. Registration for Lab testing and EKGs is still being done (for now) inside MassGeneral for Children at NSMC. Pediatric behavioral health services, including the adolescent partial program, neurodevelopment, and neuropsychological testing, will remain inside MassGeneral for Children at NSMC. They are accessible via the elevators just inside that lobby.

Project will be fully complete in January 2020.

75 more parking spaces added at that time.
