Gynecologic Conditions Treated
Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Minimally Invasive Surgical Techniques
By applying advanced techniques and instruments, MIGS offers advanced alternatives to procedures that once required invasive surgery, general anesthesia and hospitalization; these include:
Endometrial ablations are an alternative to hysterectomy for the treatment of heavy menstrual periods in women who wish to keep their uteruses.
Hysterectomy, a procedure to remove the uterus, is performed for many reasons, including the removal of fibroid tumors and the treatment of endometriosis.
Hysteroscopy can be used for both diagnosing and treating conditions such as abnormal bleeding or removing fibroid tumors or polyps.
Laparoscopy is used to diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions of the abdomen and pelvis, including endometriosis and ovarian cysts and requires only very small incisions.
Myomectomies are performed to remove fibroids without removing the uterus, and can be performed with minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. These approaches involve small if any incisions, less bleeding, fewer complications and a faster recovery.
Office Sterilization (Essure®)
Essure is a female sterilization option that can be completed in the office without any incisions.
