NSMC News Releases
North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) honored endocrinologist Lydie Pani, M.D., with the 2015 Department of Medicine Excellence Award. David Roberts, M.D., NSMC chair of medicine, presented Dr. Pani with this award at the NSMC Department of Medicine annual dinner.
Dr. Pani was recognized for her commitment to teaching, compassionate care and clinical expertise in the field of endocrinology and general medicine. As assistant director of the NSMC residency program, Dr. Pani’s hands-on approach to teaching and outstanding clinical skills have made her an invaluable mentor to younger physicians within the department.
“Dr. Pani is a respected member of the medical staff here at NSMC,” said Joan Casper, executive director of the NSMC Department of Medicine and Cardiology. “She is not only a true teacher but a true leader, which is what makes her so deserving of this award.”
Dr. Pani is board certified in endocrinology as well as internal medicine. A graduate of the University of Yaounde in Cameroon, she completed her residency at North Shore Medical Center and a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a resident of Lynnfield.
The NSMC Department of Medicine Excellence Award was created in 2006 to recognize physicians who have made a significant contribution to patient care within the Department of Medicine.
