Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Salem Hospital offers a safe haven for children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, psychiatric disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and other behavioral problems. We provide outpatient psychotherapy and psychopharmacology services, a partial hospital program for adolescents, and an inpatient program for children ages 3-17. Inpatient services are provided on a dedicated pediatric floor in our new Epstein Center for Behavioral Health.

Inpatient

Inpatient services are available for patients 3 to 17 years old who are experiencing depression, anxiety, psychiatric disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and other behavioral problems. Learn more.

Outpatient

Outpatient services for children and adolescents include individual therapy.

Partial Hospital

Our Partial Hospital program offers intensive outpatient services for children 13 to 17 years old who do not meet criteria for inpatient hospitalization but who need more structure and support than can be provided at an outpatient level. Learn more.

Neuropsychological assessment

Our Neuropsychological Assessment Center provides assessments and follow-up services to individuals with learning, developmental, emotional or behavioral difficulties. It includes the Neurodevelopmental Clinic and the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Clinic for children, adolescents and young adults.
