Volunteering

Each year our volunteers contribute an average of 20,000 hours of service. They enhance the quality of our care through their work with patients, families, visitors and staff. Volunteers provide services ranging from office work to direct patient care to assisting with fund-raising events. Every effort is made to place volunteers according to individual interest, skill and time availability. Most choose to contribute their time on a weekly basis, but special projects/events are sometimes available. There are volunteer opportunities throughout Salem Hospital as well as through At Home.
