General and Gastrointestinal

General and gastrointestinal surgeons at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) are board certified and have advanced training in many surgical subspecialties. They perform surgery on the breast, esophagus, stomach, small and large bowel, rectum, thyroid and parathyroid glands, liver, gall bladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. They work closely with other NSMC specialists to deliver safe, effective treatment. Many procedures can be safely performed on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to return home the same day.
