.

Support group

Our “New Beginnings Support Group” is an in-person meeting for new and soon-to-be parents. We meet weekly on Fridays at Salem Hospital from 9-11 a.m., in Davenport 103. Parking is available at 81 Highland Avenue by the main entrance.

Join us at this free, community group for pregnant parents or parents with new babies. Led by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), this space allows participants to build community, share experiences, and support one another on the parenting journey.

No registration is required. For questions, please contact SHchildbirthED@mgb.org or call 978-354-3909.

Lactation consultation

Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) provide on-site consultation during your stay at the Birthplace.  They create individualized breastfeeding plans and assist with latch, establishing milk supply, and/or newborn/parental medical conditions.  Additionally, we offer toll-free telephone counseling, and outpatient appointments are available on Fridays.  For questions or outpatient scheduling, call us at 888.217.MILK (6455).
