Nephrology
Our nephrology physicians evaluate and treat adult patients with all forms of congenital and acquired renal diseases. In addition, there is a pediatric nephrology clinic at MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center, which provides diagnostic and treatment services to infants, children and adolescents.
Conditions treated include:
- Fluid and electrolyte abnormalities
- Stone disease
- Renal tubular dysfunction
- Acute and chronic renal failure
Treatments provided include:
- Chronic ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD)
- Hemodialysis
- Dialysis access placement
