Pediatric Neurology
Pediatric neurology at MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center is one of the most comprehensive neurology programs for children and parents on the North Shore. All neurological, neuromuscular and neurogenetic conditions of infants, children and adolescents are diagnosed and treated. Special tests and procedures offered include brain and spine CT scans and MRIs, as well as EEG monitoring with video.
Program Overview
Comprehensive assessments, consultation and follow-up services for individuals with developmental, attention, social-emotional and behavioral problems are available through our collaboration with the Neurodevelopmental Center. These include:
- Attention and organizational disorders (ADD, ADHD, etc.)
- Developmental disorders (autism, PDD, Asperger’s disorder, mental retardation)
- Pervasive developmental delay (autism-spectrum disorders, Asperger's syndrome)
- Neurological disorders (head injury, seizures)
- Learning disabilities
- Social-emotional disorders (anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder)
