Pediatric Radiology
The pediatric radiology department at MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center is exclusively dedicated to children, with its own play area and waiting room. All of our pediatric radiologists are board certified, and have advanced training. They use state-of-the-art equipment to perform and interpret over thousand of pediatric examinations yearly. All studies are optimized to minimize radiation exposure to pediatric patients. Skilled technologists and nurses assist our pediatric radiologists.
Program Overview
Our pediatric radiologists consult with specialists in other departments to ensure a seamless integration of diagnostic services, treatment and follow-up services.
On site exams:
- Fluoroscopy, ultrasound and all scheduled exams 978.354.2735
- CT exams 978.354.4545
- MRI exams 978.532.8960
- Regular X-rays or scoliosis studies
- Our hours for scheduled exams are: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
- Regular X-rays or scoliosis studies do not require a scheduled appointment
Fluoroscopy exams conducted include:
- Upper GI tract
- Barium enema
- Voiding cystography
- Feeding/swallowing evaluations
